Man sentenced in home invasion, sexual assault

LUCEDALE, Miss. —  

A 47-year-old man has been sentenced to prison for 50 years for a home invasion in which he held a mother and daughter captive and sexually assaulted them.

The Sun Herald reports Judge Kathy King Jackson sentenced Daniel Wayne Hoven on Monday in George County Circuit Court for crimes committed at a home in the Howell community June 11, 2011.

The judge ordered him to serve 30 years day for day for two counts each of kidnapping and sexual battery, and gave him 25 years for the burglary of an occupied dwelling.

The judge suspended five years of the burglary term, leaving 20 to serve followed by five years of probation. She ordered the prison terms to run consecutively.
