Body recovered from Humphreys County lake

BELZONI, Miss. — Divers have recovered the body of a missing fisherman from Little Eagle Lake in Humphreys County.

The lake is about 12 miles southeast of Belzoni, just off of Highway 12.

Sheriff J. D. Roseman tells WLBT TV three men were in a boat when it capsized around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The sheriff says two of the men were saved by another individual on the lake. The body of the third man was found just before 5 p.m.

His name has not been released, but authorities say he was 65 years old and from Hinds County.
