Online post leads to tips on mannequin theft

RIDGELAND, Miss. —

Police in Ridgeland said tips about a mannequin stolen from a consignment store began pouring in after information on the theft, including security video, was posted to the online social media site Facebook.

The shiny mannequin — a torso covered with tiny mirrors — was stolen before Christmas.

On Thursday, police arrested a 29-year-old woman from Flora. WAPT TV reports that the mannequin was recovered from a trailer where the suspect lives.
