JACKSON, Miss. —
The Mississippi Court of Appeals has ordered new trial in a statutory rape case from Noxubee County.
R.C. Hibbler was serving a 20-year sentence when a majority of the court agreed Tuesday with his claims that his attorney didn't do a good job and ordered a new trial.
Hibbler was convicted of having sex with a 13-year-old girl when he was 69 in 2005.
