Hattiesburg man indicted on multiple charges

PURVIS, Miss. — A 19-year-old Hattiesburg man has been indicted on multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred over the summer in Lamar County.

Fifteenth Circuit Court District Attorney Hal Kittrell tells the Hattiesburg American (http://hatne.ws/SXHqph) that Cameron Eatmon was indicted by a Lamar County grand jury on charges of armed carjacking, kidnapping, aggravated assault and rape.

The charges stem from the July 20 shooting, rape and abduction of a 21-year-old woman from Oak Grove Road.

Eatmon is scheduled for arraignment on Nov. 5.

It was unclear whether Eatmon has an attorney.
