Body found in Jackson had gunshot wound

JACKSON, Miss. — A decomposing body found behind a home in Jackson had a gunshot wound to the face.

Police have not identified the body but family members of a missing 15-year-old boy told Jackson television stations say they believe it is him.

The skeletal remains were found Monday night.

An autopsy is planned as authorities try to confirm the identity of the body.
