Vidalia teen sought in stepfather's death

VIDALIA, La. — Concordia Parish officials say they are looking for a teenager suspected in the shooting death of his stepfather.

The 15-year-old, who was not identified because of his age, reportedly fled the scene of the crime on foot.

The victim, who was shot in the abdomen and shoulder, died at a Jackson hospital late Sunday, after the afternoon shooting.

The Natchez Democrat reported that Concordia Parish Sheriff's Deputy David Hedrick said investigators had obtained a warrant before the victim's death for the teen's arrest on charges of attempted second-degree murder. The victim's death could mean a more serious charge.
