MERIDIAN —
The Meridian City Council will hold a work session today to discuss cuts to the contributions they make to charities and other organizations, according to Ward 1 Councilman Dr. George Thomas.
"It's a lot that we're going to cut out of there," Thomas said. "That's an area we can cut without cutting any jobs."
The work session, set for 8 a.m., will also be used to discuss subsidies and grants. The council has held a series of work sessions to discuss their FY2011 budget, which according to state law must be passed by Sept. 15.
