MERIDIAN — This suspect, who officers said tried to flee on foot when cornered behind Red Lobster, was shot with a Taser gun. Here, a Meridian Police Department officer orders the man, who was believed to have outstanding warrants, to stay still or face being shot again with the Taser. MPD patrolmen responded to the Meridian Crossroads area at about 5:45 p.m. on a call of a man in the vicinity wanted by law enforcement. When officers arrived they observed the suspect at Ryan's Restaurant on South Frontage Road. A knife, crack pipe, marijuana and other drugs were found on the suspect, an officer said.
