MERIDIAN —
A man who was arrested for the Aug. 21 shooting death of a Meridian man and posted bond has been arrested again, this time for possession of illegal drugs.
Lt. Dean Harper, commander of the Meridian Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, said Wednesday Anthony Martin Davis, 28 of Meridian, was arrested by agents of the East Mississippi Drug Task Force Tuesday. Davis is being charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Harper said Davis was already out on a $350,000 felony bond for the murder charge and that Davis' bond request in this latest arrest was denied.
Davis, along with two others were charged in August for the shooting death of 23-year-old Jadarrian Jimerson. Jimerson was shot several times as he was walking home from work. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of 10th Avenue in Meridian.
