MERIDIAN —
A woman was the victim of an attempted armed robbery Tuesday night outside of Old Marion Road Apartments, according to a Meridian Police Department press release.
A black male approached the woman shortly before midnight and demanded money after brandishing a handgun, according to police. The woman told police she had no money and that the robbery suspect ran away empty handed.
The man was wearing a blue shirt, black jacket and a hat, the woman told police.
Anyone with information about the robbery attempt is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (601) 485-1860. The information may be worth cash if arrests made lead to a conviction.
