Woman shot at not injured
No one was injured Thursday night after shots were fired into an occupied car.
According to a Meridian Police Department report, shortly after 8 p.m. a woman pulled into the driveway of her house in the 1600 block of 37th Avenue when a red Ford Ranger pulled into the driveway behind her and an occupant of the pickup fired rounds into her car. The woman ran away and was not injured, the police report states.
Man charged with sexual battery
On Thursday, Meridian police arrested 19 year old Joey Williams of Meridian and charged him with sexual battery. Police stated in a report that Williams and the alleged victim know each other. Williams bond was set at $250,000.

on missing woman
The family of a woman missing since Monday has provided the Meridian Police Department with an updated photo of Jaime Wilkes, who was last seen in the area of Waffle House on Highway 19 North.
Wilkes, 34, is described as having light brown hair, standing 5-feet-two inches tall and weighing 105 pounds. Police ask that anyone with information about Wilkes' whereabouts call 601-485-1863 or CrimeStoppers at 601-485-1860.
