MERIDIAN —
The 2012-2013 Lamar School Quiz Bowl Team won the MCC Scholar's Challenge.
The match was the best out of three and the team won two. Scores were 170-95 in the first round and 180-40 in the second round.
The MCC Scholar's Challenge is a series of matches between scholar's teams in the area. It is under the direction of Dr. James Daulphine.
The team included Christian Futrell, Captain, Karam Rahat, Kate Johnson, Rachel Varela, and Daniel Fields. The sponsor is Becky Finan.
The MCC Scholar's Challenge will be aired locally on channel 12 on Oct. 14 at 2:30 p.m.; Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m.; and Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m.
