Special to The Star
Rush is opening the Rush KidsCare Weekend Clinic for children with minor illnesses or injuries this Saturday.
Located adjacent to the Rush Emergency Room (in the WorkForce Wellness area), this weekend walk-in clinic will provide care for kids of all ages (up to 18 years) every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 6 p.m.
Pediatricians, Ashley Charles Davis, M.D. and William Elliott, M.D. will be on staff to provide medical services for patients in the clinic. Ashley Charles Davis M.D. and William Elliott, M.D. serve as inpatient pediatric hospitalists at Rush Foundation Hospital on a full-time basis.
The addition of this weekend walk-in clinic increases the public’s access to pediatric care on the weekends and compliments the current outpatient and inpatient pediatric services provided by Rush. The objective of this clinic is to serve as an additional resource for parents and children who need to see a pediatrician on the weekend. The clinic will have onsight X-ray and lab, and will treat a range of illnesses and injuries such as asthma, colds, flu, dehydration, and strains and sprains.
