TRAFFIC CLOGGER

A tractor trailer carrying produce caught fire at about 3:20 p.m. Monday near mile marker 168 of Interstate 20/59. The driver of the big rig from Henagar, Ala., was unhurt but the rig and the cargo was a total loss, officials said. Fire units from Toomsuba Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to the call and quickly extinguished the blaze. The incident closed the eastbound lanes of I-20 for about 45 minutes. One lane was opened up until the wreckage could be cleaned up.
