N.H. man still recovering from injuries
By Brian Livingston
Officials at Rush Foundation Hospital still have Bob Skelding listed in critical condition as the New Hampshire man continues to be treated for severe injuries suffered in a Tuesday afternoon accident in which his horse drawn wagon was destroyed by an 18-wheeler on Hwy. 45 South.
The accident occurred near the Noxubee-Kemper county line south of Shuqualak. Skelding and his team had rested overnight in Shuqualak and were heading south toward Scooba when two 18-wheelers running side by side crested a hill behind him. One of the big rigs slammed into Skelding's wagon and team killing two of the horses and seriously injuring Skelding.
