Circuit Court



The following list of criminal cases heard the last week in Lauderdale County Circuit Court was furnished by District Attorney Bilbo Mitchell.

• Michael Feagins, possession of marijuana over five kilograms, 20 years MDOC, 20 years suspended, five years probation, fines, fees and court costs

• Santana Bingham, simple assault on officer, two years MDOC, 100 days to serve, two years probation, fine, fees and court costs

• Andre Randle, revocation of probation for possession of cocaine, three years MDOC, fines, fees and court costs; felony fleeing, three years MDOC, one day to serve, three years PRS, fines, fees and court costs

• Dennis Ray Palmer, sale of cocaine, 40 years MDOC, 25 years suspended, 15 years to serve, 10 years PRS, fines, fees and court costs

• Mario Lefore, felony fleeing, five years MDOC, four years and 364 days suspended, one day to serve, fines, fees and court costs

• Candy Lynn Davidson, embezzlement, five years MDOC, five years suspended, three years probation, fines, fees, court costs and restitution

• Paul E. Jones, revocation, four years MDOC consecutive to time for sale of methadone, 10 years MDOC, seven years suspended, five years SPRS, fine, fees and court costs

• John Sullivan, embezzlement, two years MDOC, two years suspended, five years probation, fines, fees, court costs and restitution

• Recardo Adams, sale of cocaine, 12 years MDOC, fines, fees and court costs; revocation for burglary, seven years MDOC, 317 days to serve, fines, fees and court costs

• Marcus Powell, possession of marijuana with intent, eight years MDOC, eight years suspended, five years probation, fines, fees and court costs

• Toby Lashawn Oliver, uttering/forgery, two years MDOC, one day to serve, two years PRS, fines, fees, court costs and restitution

• Wade Samuels, possession of cocaine, two years MDOC without parole, fines, fees and court costs

• Larry Lewis, felon in possession of firearm, five years MDOC, four years suspended, four years PRS, fines, fees and court costs

• Julius Hall, DUI first offense, dismissed

  • Choctaw Expressions to be showcased

        The Mississippi Craft Center will present Choctaw Expressions as the featured cultural and historical exhibit for the month of June.
        The presentation will showcase the rich and unique heritage of the Mississippi Choctaw Indians with traditional cultural arts and artifacts. The exhibition is set to open to the public on Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. The Mississippi Craft Center, located in Ridgeland, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission and will highlight this unique event through June 30.

  • Farmer's Market Earth’s Bounty Festival Saturday

        Residents in the Meridian area will have the opportunity to purchase locally grown or made products throughout the summer and fall through the Earth’s Bounty festival.
        The expanded version of the current farmer's market will take place on the first Saturday of every month from June-November at Singing Brakeman Park in Meridian near Union Station.
