One Life America to expand its workforce

MERIDIAN —     On Thursday Meridian-based One Life America, a final expense life insurance agency, will hold a Job Fair to hire more than 120 employees to work in its call centers in Meridian and Stonewall.

The Job Fair will begin at 4 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. at the Holiday Inn located at 100 North Frontage Road near Interstate 20 and the Highway 39 Bypass.

“We are very excited to host the job fair in an effort to enlarge our local call center operation,” said Scotty Elliott, president and chief executive officer of One Life America. “As we seek to enhance our industry-leading position, we recognize the importance of bringing on quality individuals.”

One Life will be hiring qualified applicants who according to Elliott, will be eligible for above average hourly pay in addition to potential bonuses and health insurance. No sales or insurance experience is required. Entry level and experienced candidates are all encouraged to apply.

Elliott said during this event, people will have the opportunity to learn more about the organization and visit with a variety of representatives from the company. Additionally, he said a number of managers will be on hand to conduct brief pre-screening interviews in order to find out more about the capabilities of interested candidates.

"To be successful in our call centers, it is important for individuals to possess good communication skills, excellent listening skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic," said Elliott. "We provide superior training to ensure employees are properly equipped for success.”

One Life is extending this opportunity to non-licensed and licensed agents alike. Elliott said no sales or insurance experience is required to be considered for this career. One Life offers competitive wages with incentive compensation programs, as well as health insurance benefits to its call center employees.

With more than 1,000 agents, One Life has its national headquarters in Meridian located on Hwy. 45 North.
