Patrolmen with the Meridian Police Department have just arrested a man who has warrants out for his arrest by county authorities for armed robbery.
The suspect, whose name is not yet released, was tracked down by patrolmen after they were called to a location in Meridian about 15 minutes ago in connection to an alleged robbery. Patrolmen tracked down the suspect who was on foot with information from residents. After running his information through NCIS, the National Crime Information System, police discovered the man was wanted by investigators with the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department.
