My name is Sarah Palin Bryan. My sister Callie Elizabeth, along with my brothers, Amos Hull, Obadiah (Oby), and Howie are thankful for two of our humans, Mommie Charlotte and Mommie Cole. We are most thankful when Papa Bear is spending time at the deer camp!
My biological brother, Howie and I were blessed to be born here at Beulah Hubbard on August 24, 2008. A few weeks later I got to attend kindergarten Sunday School—Mommie Charlotte called me a perfect illustration of God’s creation.
Howie and I celebrated our 1st birthday with a seafood buffet. We had tuna and salmon from Wal-Mart and boiled shrimp from the Stickwagon Café! I wore my tiara Mommie Cole bought for me in New Orleans.
Mommie Charlotte calls me her angel. I start my days by waking her up with my talk, talk, talk! I follow Mommie Charlotte around the house helping her. She has a rolling walker with a seat on it where I often hitch a ride. When I get separated from her, I cry out and she calls me to her. Mommie Cole says I am good therapy, whatever that is, for Mommie Charlotte.
I spend some time each day on the screen porch getting some fresh air. Mommie Charlotte knows when I am ready to come in because I start “running, running, running” with my paws on the glass door. Fresh catnip awaits me on my scratch pad!
I spend my afternoons playing with my toy fish. Since my staff built my house with stairs and a balcony, I have lots of space to run and rip. I fall exhausted on my big pillow for a long afternoon nap. When one of my humans starts using the icemaker, I dash for the kitchen. Love that ice!
When Mommie Cole comes home from work, she always helps me to check my “cute factor.” I am so thankful I have never lost any cute. We sometimes play with our toy “Spiddy” while dinner is being prepared. My siblings and I share two cans of tuna just before bedtime. Then the five of us divide ourselves out between our two mommies ensuring a good night’s rest for them.
I am thankful for my family and our home. I wish all pets had such a good life.
