Authorities looking for robbery suspect

An elderly man that lives on Fish Lodge Road was surprised Friday morning when two men entered his home and robbed him.

According to Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun, the victim was unhurt in the incident that reportedly occurred at 10:15 a.m. but cash and several rifles were said to have been stolen. Calhoun said warrants have been issued for one of the suspects in this case.

Currently authorities are searching for 22-year-old Brandon M. Johnson, whose last known address was listed as 917 42nd Ave. in Meridian. He is wanted for robbery.

Calhoun said they are also looking for another suspect who was said to have accompanied Johnson during this alleged incident.

"The victim was acquainted with Johnson but not the other person so we don't know who that person is," said Calhoun.
