MERIDIAN —
Several schools, daycare centers and public facilities will be closed today because of a snow storm that moved in this morning.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation has also issued a winter weather warning statewide and is warning motorists to drive slowly and watch for ice on bridges and overpasses.
The following is a partial list of closings and delayed openings:
• Meridian Public Schools
• Lauderdale County Schools
• Meridian Community College, day and night classes canceled
• MCC has canceled the Arts & Letters production for tonight.
• MSU-Meridian's College Park and downtown locations open at 10 a.m.
• Calvary Christian School
• Choctaw Tribal Schools and office
• Great Start Learning Center
• Kemper Academy
• Kemper County Schools
• Lamar School
• MAP Headstart
• Meridian - Lauderdale County Public Library
• Neshoba County Schools
• Philadelphia Public Schools
• Poplar Springs Daycare
• Russell Christian Academy
• Russell Christian Daycare
• Wesley House Daycare
