Pearl River Resort reopens original flagship restaurant

MERIDIAN —     Pearl River Resort has reopened its well-known fine dining restaurant, Phillip M’s. The restaurant, which is named in honor of former Tribal Chief Phillip Martin, is located at Silver Star Hotel and Casino and is now open to the public.

“Under the visionary leadership of our late Chief Phillip Martin, our tribe realized great progress and today I am proud to honor his legacy with the re-opening of Phillip M’s,” said Tribal Chief Phyllis J. Anderson, during a ceremony Tuesday. “In its prime, Phillip M’s was noted by many food enthusiasts as the best restaurant in the South for casual fine dining and we are proud to bring back the menu, service and exceptional dining experience our guests enjoyed just four years ago.”

The goal with this restaurant is to reintroduce the comfortable atmosphere and unique charm that guests experienced when Phillip M’s first opened. Visitors will notice details from the original Phillip M’s that have been brought back and reintroduced throughout the restaurant, such as original lighting fixtures, incorporating the style of the original floral centerpiece and the use of unique humming bird serving dishes.

Additionally, guests will note the addition of custom artwork and the return of menu favorites such as; oysters colette, baked cheese en croute, escargot bourguignon, macadamia encrusted orange roughy, seafood mixed grill, lamb pegas and vela de bertagna.

“We are all very excited about the reopening of Phillip M’s,” said Jason York, interim president and chief executive officer of Pearl River Resort. “We welcome all to come and experience the best Pearl River Resort has to offer.”
