MERIDIAN —
Charter ceremonies for the Meridian High School Junior Civitan Club were held last week at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Meridian.
Officers inducted were: Katie Bruister, president; Mia Hall, vice president; Kinsey Thornton, secretary; Aeneas Wright, treasurer; Caroline McGinnis, public relations; Ali Acord, chaplain; and Conner Bancroft, sergeant at arms.
Other members of the Junior Civitan Club are Aaron Garrett, Ashlynross Chisolm, Breshondra Kendricks, Brianna Scruggs, Christopher Cross, Harini Patel, Jacoby Alford, Kristin Zettler, Lauren Gaddie, Mayah Emerson, Nathan Gatlin, Shivani Patel, and Tia Hall.
The club's advisor is Charlie Lockley. During the ceremony Rhonda Smith, president of the Meridian Civitan Club, served as toastmaster. Barbara Holyfield, Junior Civitan Chair for the Magnolia District, and Meridian First Ladies Civitan Club member, performed the Presentation of Charters.
