Light Smoke

MERIDIAN — A fire engine from Station 1 sits outside the Meridian Police Department Wednesday morning while firefighters inside the department search for the source of light smoke and the smell of something burning. A 911 call reported the smell of smoke in the MPD's Criminal Investigation Division. After a search for the source, firefighters found a light fixture that was overheating. The power to the fixture was turned off. No damage was noted.
