MERIDIAN —
Detectives with the Meridian Police Department are checking into a report of an armed robbery Thursday night in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Meridian.
MPD Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the department's Criminal Investigation Division, said three men reported to patrol units they were robbed at gunpoint by two black men in the parking lot of Wendy's located at 3105 Eighth Street.
Harper said the men reported to detectives they were standing in the parking lot around 8 p.m. when they were approached by the two black men. Both of the suspects were dressed in red and black, the victims told police. Harper said the men were robbed of their personal belongings when one of the suspects pulled a handgun on the trio. The two suspects then fled on foot.
None of the victims were hurt during the alleged incident.
