MERIDIAN —
Members of the Meridian Police Department are investigating an armed robbery at a local convenience store.
According to a police report, a man described as a short black male entered the Texaco convenience store on Eighth Street in Meridian at about 8 a.m. Tuesday and robbed the store clerk at gunpoint. He then ran away on foot, police reported.
The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No further information on the robbery is available at this time, according to the report.
