MERIDIAN — At a Winging recognizing new Naval Aviators on Oct. 5 at NAS Meridian - Lt. JG James Gibbons, center, was the recipient of the Golden Stick, the award given by the Meridian Area Navy League recognizing the Highest Ranking Graduate of each graduating class of aviators. The October Winging was sponsored by Meridian Area Navy League Board Member and local State Farm agent Percy Bland. Also pictured, is Meridian Area Navy League President Arjen Lagendijk.
