MERIDIAN —
A man Meridian Police Department authorities had been seeking was officially charged with several offenses Wednesday.
MPD Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the department's Criminal Investigation Division, said Bryan L. Haynes, 27 of Meridian, was charged Wednesday with felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of more than an ounce of marijuana with intent to distribute. Haynes was placed on $25,000 bond on each of the charges.
Harper said local law enforcement authorities had been searching for Haynes since last month in connection with an incident in which Haynes was allegedly involved.
Harper said the investigation is ongoing and that Haynes' case would be presented to the next available Lauderdale County grand jury.
