MERIDIAN —
A Dyslexia Training Workshop for the Lauderdale County School District was conducted at the Meridian Masonic Center on Thursday. This provided training for the teachers involved in the county program. The workshop was presented by Robin LaMoines, Dyslexia Training Coordinator for the Rankin County School System.
The Meridian Valley of the Scottish Rite presented a $1,500 check to the Lauderdale County Schools in support of their Dyslexia Program for children needing this type of additional assistance. The Dyslexia/Learning Disability program for public and private schools is promoted by the National Headquarters for the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and is the major emphasis of fundraising for the Meridian Valley of Scottish Rite of Meridian.
