Minor cell phone disruption hits downtown Meridian Friday

MERIDIAN —     AT&T wireless customers who were in the downtown Meridian area experienced an outage.

    "There was a malfunction with electronic equipment that was causing calls to block intermittently," said Sue Sperry, company spokesperson. "The team has resolved the issue and service is back to normal."

    Service was back on around 12:30 Friday afternoon.
