MERIDIAN —
Riley Wound Healing Center has announced two new staff positions.
Elizabeth Busbee has been named program director, and Stacey Roberts has been promoted to clinical nurse manager.
Busbee will be responsible for all aspects of the center’s operation including ensuring quality patient care, recruiting and hiring, compliance with federal and state guidelines, budgeting and fiscal policies, and marketing and sales.
A Meridian resident, Busbee most recently served as Riley Hospital director of marketing.
Busbee holds a bachelor of science degree in commerce and business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Alabama. She is a member of Young Professionals of Meridian, Public Relations Association of Mississippi, Mississippi Hospital Association and University of Alabama Alumni Association.
Roberts will be responsible for all clinical aspects of the center including providing continuity of care for patients, integrating new therapies into care and training new personnel, reviewing and reporting on patient outcomes and ensuring quality of care.
A Daleville resident, Roberts most recently served as case manager and charge nurse in the wound healing center.
Roberts holds an associate's degree in nursing from Meridian Community College. She is certified in wound care and hyperbarics. Roberts is a member of the Baromedical Nurses Association.
Riley Wound Center, a National Healing Corporation Wound Healing Center, specializes in the treatment of chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions and offers hospital-based outpatient wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Choctaw Expressions to be showcased
The Mississippi Craft Center will present Choctaw Expressions as the featured cultural and historical exhibit for the month of June.
The presentation will showcase the rich and unique heritage of the Mississippi Choctaw Indians with traditional cultural arts and artifacts. The exhibition is set to open to the public on Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. The Mississippi Craft Center, located in Ridgeland, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with free admission and will highlight this unique event through June 30. -
Earth’s Bounty Festival Saturday
Residents in the Meridian area will have the opportunity to purchase locally grown or made products throughout the summer and fall through the Earth’s Bounty festival.
The expanded version of the current farmer's market will take place on the first Saturday of every month from June-November at Singing Brakeman Park in Meridian near Union Station. -
