Has research allowed germ and virus release in the world? Has the development of the immune system allowed modification to the extent that the body is susceptible and unresistant to some stimulus thrown at the citizens of the world? While in the Army at Fort Detrick, Maryland I was exposed to various biological agents on which a better understanding was desired by the US Government. Just a few considered were Rocky Mountain Fever, Tularemia and Anthrax in addition to Agent Orange. And today, animal borne diseases have added to the list Bird Flu, AIDS and the Swine Flu. We ask, where do they come from and why not eradicate? Could we be facing the apocalyptic projection printed by the writers of Luke and Revelation? AP reporter Rory Marshal’s article stated that swine flu infection in the US has reached 2,532 in 44 states on May 10.
Two thousand years ago Matthew wrote, “Tell us… what will be the sign of your coming?” One of the conditions to occur as a precursor, as referred to in Luke 21:11, will be “pestilences (plagues, malignant and contagious or infectious epidemic diseases, deadly and devastating) from the beast of the field(Rev 6:8). Could it be a sign for today?
