Positioning a front-page headline containing the words "DUI" above Cheri Barry's photograph --in a report that her campaign manager was charged with drunken driving -- links forever and unfairly the words "DUI" and "Cheri Barry." I hang my head in shame that our hometown newspaper has reached a new low.

Here’s my view!
I spoke at the last Meridian City Council meeting concerning pay for city employees. My intent was to inform the council that many city employees are not being paid equitable salaries. The clerk of the council and other city employees deserve to be paid a competitive salary.
