I would like to say "Thank you" to Mr. Armstrong for writing such a wonderful letter. (More answers needed from Parole Board). I think Capital Murder convictions and paroles need attention. I know this is contrary to Bettie Lou Jones' convictions but so be it. Mrs. Jones obviously has no connection with real life situations. I believe Mrs. Jones has no compassion for victim's families or friends. As I said before, I think she is out of touch with reality.
Mrs. Jones, you work for the State of Mississippi and as such you owe it to the citizens of this state to tell us how you voted for Mr. Hodgin's parole and why. How is a capital murderer even eligible for parole after 22 years? I certainly don't know if Hodgins was the most qualified convict entitled to parole, but I am certain Bettie Lou Jones is not the most qualified person for the parole board. Mrs. Jones should do the honorable thing and resign her position immediately.

Here’s my view!
I spoke at the last Meridian City Council meeting concerning pay for city employees. My intent was to inform the council that many city employees are not being paid equitable salaries. The clerk of the council and other city employees deserve to be paid a competitive salary.
