Make sure kids are seated on school buses

In this day and age where so much emphasis is being put on vehicle safety, why are children allowed to stand in the aisles of Meridian Public School District buses while they are moving?

I have witnessed this several mornings while on my way to work. I think this problem should be addressed before a major accident happens and several children are hurt. Every child riding a school bus should be guaranteed a seat, and if this is not possible, alternate routes should be established.

After all, we should be teaching our children to practice safety on buses as well as personal vehicles.
