Outlaw motorcycles? Why can’t we outlaw or banish stupid people? Why do people drink and drive, knowing how dangerous it is? Fly, swim, dive ... if everything was made illegal just because someone didn’t like it, there would be nothing on this planet. I ride bikes and thoroughly enjoy it. What scares me is the idiots out there driving with no insurance or license, drunk or doped up — or somebody just too stupid to look out for other vehicles.

Here’s my view!
I spoke at the last Meridian City Council meeting concerning pay for city employees. My intent was to inform the council that many city employees are not being paid equitable salaries. The clerk of the council and other city employees deserve to be paid a competitive salary.
