As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach, we are often times reminded of the many gifts and blessings that we should be thankful for in our lives. We give thanks for the food we eat, the clothes on our back and for the shelter over our head. We also give thanks for the people who surround us everyday that make our lives worthwhile.
At East Mississippi State Hospital, we are thankful for the small blessings that we are able to give the individuals who are served on our campus. Whether it’s a warm coat or sweater, a new pair of shoes for the winter months or even just a friendly smile, the employees and volunteers at EMSH are truly blessed by opportunity to give to those who are less fortunate than themselves and hope to continue to be able to give all throughout the months ahead.
As part of the “Small Blessings at Christmastime” campaign, the EMSH Volunteer Services Department is accepting donations of various, new items to stock the shelves of our Christmas Closet. These items include, but are not limited to:
• Sweaters, Coats & Jackets
• Long pants & shirts
• Closed-toe shoes
• Toiletry items (shampoo, soap, lotion, toothpaste, etc…)
• Board games, card games, magazines
Currently, EMSH has campaign boxes at all locations of Great Southern National Bank, Muna Federal Credit Union and Trustmark National Bank. Boxes are also located St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Central United Methodist Church and

Once again, thank you to the Meridian community for its outstanding support of the programming we provide at EMSH. EMSH is truly thankful and blessed to have such a strong foundation to lean upon.
