Switching from the green can umping of garbage to street garbage pick up is a major mistake in Lauderdale County. When this happens our county roads will become filled with litter and trash and there will be many homeowners who will just not pick it up. Also in many parts of the county, private and public, people will be dumping stuff other than household garbage everywhere. While on this subject, it makes no sense why a resident of our great county can't throw anything away in the green cans like they do now because it actually helps out our residents for the convenience of it as well as it not being tossed everywhere else. That law needs to be changed as well.

Here’s my view!
I spoke at the last Meridian City Council meeting concerning pay for city employees. My intent was to inform the council that many city employees are not being paid equitable salaries. The clerk of the council and other city employees deserve to be paid a competitive salary.
