Teenagers arrested in armed robbery

MERIDIAN —     Officers with the Meridian Police Department quickly apprehended two teenagers who robbed a woman in the parking lot outside the Books-A-Million store Thursday night.

    The teenagers were arrested 15 minutes after the robbery, which occurred about 7:30 p.m. outside the store located in the Meridian Crossroads shopping center.

    Tony Kimble, 16, and Robert Edwards, 15, both of Meridian, were each charged with armed robbery.

    The teenagers reportedly were arrested outside the Geoffrys Toys R Us on Bonita Lakes Circle.
