Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday:

• Public profanity — Marlon Shannon, 20, 511 C St. • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense — Dean Lee Peden, 41, 353 Mitchell Drive, Sandersville. Peden is also charged with driving with an expired tag, careless driving and driving with no proof of insurance. • Willful trespassing – Jimmy Hornsby, 48, 4303 30th St.

• Disorderly conduct – Tanisha Gooden, age unavailable, 1422 Midway Church Road. Gooden is also charged with public drunkenness.

• Public drunkenness – Demetrius Yvette Mapp, age unavailable, 1494 Midway Church Road. Mapp is also charged with interfering with police

• DUI, second offense – Johnny Earl Pickens, age unavailable, P.O. Box 4675. Pickens is also charged with driving with no proof of insurance, driving without a license and running a red light.

• Contempt of court – Hubert R. Ashford Jr., 25, 1709 1/2 45th Ave.

• Contempt of court – Kendra Knott, 21, 4524 Highway 39 North, Apt. C-24

• Contempt of court – Kevin S. Johnson, 30, 5880 Blacktop Way, Fairborn, Ga.

• Disturbance of a business – Marzell Davis Jr., 18, 116 58th Ave. Davis is also charged with two counts of stalking, simple assault, malicious mischief and telephone harassment.



Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department



The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following suspected non-traffic violations between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday:

• Possession of pills, Xs — Shenequa K. Ellison, 28, 100 Pratt Highway, Apt. 602, Birmingham, Ala.

• Driving under the influence (DUI) first offense — Tracy S. Creel, 44, 314 Polk Road 151, Hatfield, Arkansas.



Ambulance Runs



Metro Ambulance made 20 runs from 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday.
