Meridian Police Department



The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday.



• Shoplifting — Shernard A. Brister, 19, 1119 46th Ave., Meridian.

• Domestic violence — Roderick R. Lewis, 22, 913 26th Ave., Meridian.

• Trespassing — Johnnie C. Ruffin, 54, 1228 11th Ave., Meridian.

• Domestic violence — Robert E. Mosley, 26, 4514 Highland Pk. Dr., Meridian.

• Simple assault — Thomas Cross, 46, 5314 Arthur St., Meridian.

• Public drunk — Paul Ingram, 46, Rt 1 Box 77B, Meridian.

• Receiving stolen property — Maurice Blackshear, 25, 1423 26th Ave., Meridian.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following non-traffic violations between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.

• Disorderly conduct — Omar A. Newell, 21, 3001 Davis St., Meridian.

• Felony bad check — Yvette Powell, 29, 3627 Flat Rd., Lakeland, FL.



The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following

incidents between 9 a.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.
