MERIDIAN — Meridian Police Department



    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday:



    • Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Kirk C. Carr, 44, 1709 Fifth St., Portsmouth, Ohio. Carr is also charged with improper lane usage.

    • Public drunk – Ricky Dewayne Ezell, 51, 1705 Old Marion Road, Meridian.

    • False identification information — Dentrey JaQuan Jones, 23, 107 Western Gardens, Apt. 107, Meridian.    

    • Shoplifting, $500 or more – Willis D. Smith III, 32, 4311 Fifth St., Building 11, Meridian.



    The Meridian Police Department reported the incidents between 12 a.m. Monday and 12 a.m. Tuesday:



Residential Burglary

     • 1300 block of 43rd Avenue, nighttime



Commercial Burglary

     • 2700 block of Davis, nighttime



Stolen Vehicle

     • 2200 block of 18th Avenue, left keys in vehicle; recovered

    • 1700 block of Fifth Avenue, recovered

 

Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department



    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following arrests between 8:30 a.m.. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday:



    • Simple assault – Lyle Howard Watts, 59, 8325 Poplar Springs Drive, Lot 45, Meridian



    The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Monday:



    Vandalism

    • Russell-Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian



    Theft

    • 8300 block, Poplar Springs Drive #42, Meridian



    Shooting

    • 9700 block, State Boulevard Extension, Meridian



Mississippi Highway Patrol

Ambulance Runs



    Metro Ambulance reported 45 emergency runs between 8 a.m. Tuesday and 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
