Havard, Bowden

MERIDIAN —



    Tammie Havard of Meridian announces the engagement of her daughter, Sara, to Michael Bowden, son of Sandy Bowden of Brandon and Lloyd Bowden of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at North Park Church in Meridian.

    Miss Havard is the granddaughter of Wevone Scarbrough and the late Jack Scarbrough of Meridian, Hilton and Dee Havard of Summit and Jonnie Taylor of Union Church.

    The bride-elect is a recent graduate of Meridian Community College, where she received a physical therapy assistant degree, and a graduate of East Mississippi Community College, where she received an associate’s degree. She is also a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.

    While attending MCC and EMCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She was a member of the EMCC softball team.

    Mr. Bowden is the grandson of Nannie Mae Bowden of Meridian and the late Preston Bowden and the late Joseph and Emma Keyes.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Saltillo High School.

    Mr. Bowden is employed by the Meridian Fire Department.

    A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
