MERIDIAN —
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Akin of Bailey announce the engagement of their daughter, Evelyn Brittany, to Terry Micheal Armond, son of Mrs. Patty Lynn Pike of Meridian and Mr. Jeff Cherry of Collinsville.
The outdoor wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at 2 p.m., at 9007 Fellowship Road, Meridian.
Miss Akin is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Evans of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Thatcher of Bailey.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
Miss Akin is a stay-at-home mom.
Mr. Armond is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Carney of Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Evans of Augusta, Ga.
The bridegroom-elect served his country as a United States Marine. He is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.
Mr. Armond is employed by Highlines Construction.
A reception will be held following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
