Mr. and Mrs. Danny Joe Jones of Enterprise announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Nicole, to Ted Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers Rahaim, all of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at 7 p.m. at Gulf Shores State Park Pavilion on the beach.
Miss Jones is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Jones of Enterprise and Mr. and Mrs. James C. Johnson of Stonewall.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Final Touch Beauty School and Enterprise High School. She attended East Central Community College.
While attending ECCC, she was a member of the Warrior Corps and the choir.
Miss Jones is currently employed by JCPenney Styling Salon as a hair designer.
Mr. Thompson is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Stoddard, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School. He attended East Central Community College.
While attending ECCC, he was a member of the soccer team.
Mr. Thompson is currently employed by Meridian and Bigbee Railroad.
A reception will be held under the Gulf Shores State Park Pavilion.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
After a honeymoon to Key West and The Bahamas, the couple will reside in The Clarkdale Community.
