The Rev. and Mrs. Wayne Morris Benn of Preston announce the engagement of their daughter, Shevondra Waynee', to Antonio Montray Clayton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ransom Jr. of Lauderdale.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Preston.
Miss Benn graduated with honors in 2003 from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She received an associate of arts degree in 2001 from East Mississippi Community College in Scooba and is a 1999 graduate of Kemper County High School in DeKalb. She will begin studies toward a master of science degree in nursing at USM-Meridian in spring 2010.
Miss Benn practices as a registered nurse.
Mr. Clayton graduated from Final Touch Beauty School in Meridian in 2008 and is a 2004 graduate of Northeast High School. He is preparing to take his state licensure exam to obtain his barber's license.
Mr. Clayton is currently employed as a driver for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., in Meridian.
A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony at The Gathering Place.
