Rutledge, Landry

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rutledge of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Sylvia, to Colt Alan Landry, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Manuel May of Vancleave and Brian Landry of Naples, Fla.

The wedding will be an outdoor ceremony at the Rutledge home on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 6 p.m.

Miss Rutledge is the granddaughter of Gabe and Rachel Rawson of Meridian and the late Clyde and Sylvia Rutledge of Whynot.

The bride-elect received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.

While attending Mississippi State University, she was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and graduated magna cum laude.

Miss Rutledge is employed by Quitman Lower Elementary.

Mr. Landry is the grandson of Ken and Carol Newman of Vancleave and Nancy Landry Ring and the late Frank Landry of Lyman, Wyo.

The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of Vancleave High School.

While attending Mississippi State University, he was president of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Mr. Landry is employed by Northrop Grumman Ship Building in Pascagoula.

A reception will be held at Meridian Little Theatre.

Family and friends are invited to attend.
