Michael Atkins of Eupora and Hope Cadenhead of Starkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Michele Leigh Atkins, to Dane Irvin Milling, son of Rick and Joy Milling of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Longview Baptist Church in Starkville.
Miss Atkins is the granddaughter of Larry and Jean Atkins of Eupora and Col. and Mrs. C.R. Cadenhead of Starkville.
The bride-elect received a bachelor of science degree in education and mathematics from Mississippi State University. She is a graduate of Starkville High School.
While attending MSU, she was a member of Mu Alpha Theta and intramural softball.
Miss Atkins is employed by Starkville High School.
Mr. Milling is the grandson of Mary Willoughby and the late W.J. Willoughby of Meridian and the late Irvin and Tommie Milling of Dixon.
The bridegroom-elect received a bachelor of science degree in education and history with a minor in physical education from Mississippi State University. He is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School.
While attending MSU, he was a member of Mu Alpha Theta, intramural soccer and softball.
Mr. Milling is employed by West Bolivar Jr. High School.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
