Renee Antoinette Johnson and Kevin Deroice Willis of Dallas, Texas, along with their parents, Coolidge and Glenda Johnson of El Dorado, Ark., and Daniel and Diann Willis of Meridian, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 8, 2009, at the Cappella Court in Carrollton, Texas.
Miss Johnson is the granddaughter of Irma Smith and the late Morris Smith Jr. of Tulip and Eliza Johnson and the late Coolidge Johnson Sr. of Chicago, Ill.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she received a bachelor of business administration degree in management information systems. Miss Johnson will receive a master of business administration in April from the University of Dallas. She is a 1999 graduate of El Dorado High School.
Miss Johnson is employed as an application developer by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.
Mr. Willis is the grandson of Cynthia Coleman Friend and the late Lewis Coleman of Marion and the late Audrey and Merrick Willis of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration in business information systems. He is also a 1995 graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School.
Mr. Willis is employed as a senior application developer by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.
A reception will follow after the ceremony.
